Capitol
- The Capitol building was very impressing. You walk in to this beautifully
decorated room with huge paintings on the wall. If you sit down and look up, you
will see the most realistic painting ever, in my opinion. It’s at the top of
the huge, 9 million pound dome. When you see it, it looks like clouds in heaven
with angels looking down at you. There are 2 people carrying a banner with “E
Pluribus Unum” written across it. This of course means “One out of many”.
If you walk into other rooms you will see a lot of statues. Every 2 you see
represents a different state. The Capitol building was the prettiest and most
incredible building I have seen in Washington.—Annie Anderson
