Hi, and welcome to my web page. I enjoy teaching Physical Education
part-time to the Pre-School, 2nd and 5th grade
classes. The students and
parents at SMLS are the best! In
my free time I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my husband
(Scott) and two daughters (Kristin and Jenny).
I also enjoy coaching the awesome 5th and 6th
grade volleyball team here at St. Michael and helping to coach my daughters'
various soccer, basketball and volleyball teams.
In Pre-School Physical Education, the emphasis is on developing
locomotor skills (running, jumping, hopping, skipping, galloping, etc.) and
learning to play as a team. In
2nd grade, we work on physical skills such as throwing, catching,
kicking, and introduce basic team concepts.
In 5th grade the emphasis is on Physical Fitness and
developing lifelong exercise habits. We
also introduce team sports such as softball, basketball, kickball and some
traditional and nontraditional playground games.
In all classes the emphasis is on enjoying physical activity and
developing good sportsmanship and a healthy attitude toward physical
activity and competition that will help students throughout their lives.
