Purpose: To provide
a voice for, and leadership of, the student body in
order to improve the quality of education and
student life.
Requirements: In order to be a representative, a
student must meet the following qualifications: at
least a "C" average in all subjects, nominated by a
classmate, and elected by a class majority vote.
The Saint Michel Lutheran Student Government
serves the student body by representing
the variety of opinions and interests of the
students, aiding communication between the
administration, faculty, and students, protecting
student rights, and generating school spirit through
SGA-sponsored activities.
SGA consists of the four upper level school elected
officers, plus members of the SGA assembly, which
include: class officers and elected representatives
for grades 5-8. The Student Assembly meets monthly
to discuss issues of concern to the student body.
Student Government
is not only found in the middle school grades but
carries on throughout high school and college
campuses. It carries with it a sign of leadership
and responsibility that organizations look for when
selecting its student body.
