Thanksgiving Worship Tip for Little Ones Thank You God
During the offering time, it is always neat to see the children come to the edge of the pews waiting to give generously back to their Savior. Isn’t that what Thanksgiving is all about? Did you know you can receive small children’s offering envelopes they can use in church or Sunday School?  (Contact your child’s Sunday School leader or me if you do not have any.)  Letting the children at home participate in the process of putting the money in the envelope will build their anticipation.  This will also give you an opportunity to explain the reason why we give an offering is to say thank you for all that God has given us, especially Jesus.Nativity

5:30 Family Christmas Eve Practice Begins
Families look forward each year to having our children tell the awesome Christmas story. This year, we have carved out an hour each week as part of our Illuminate Opportunities on Wed. nights from 7-8 PM. Children Preschool 4 Year Olds-8th grade are welcome to join Pam Thompson as she leads them to prepare the musical drama for the worship service on Christmas Eve. It’s not too late to join!

Saying Thanks with Time and Talents for 4th and 5th Graders
As we look to all God has given us, we may want to say thanks with our time and talents. The Fourth and Fifth Grade Way Station Team is in need of additional people to be small group leaders for our children and one who wants to creatively teach them as well. This age is a great time to be able to foster great discussion and application of faith to our lives. If you would like to help, please contact me (939-4711, ext. 224 or lori.schwan@smlcs.org). We will help you find our niche.

Acolyte Training

If you are going into 5th to 8th grade and would like to serve as an acolyte, contact Cristina Hackler, our volunteer coordinator at 542-9885.
