The Spiny Dogfish Shark

           The Spiny Dogfish is a very interesting shark to study.  There was a lot of information to learn about the Spiny Dogfish shark.  I found that the Spiny Dogfish shark has unique physical features, a typical diet and habitat, interesting social behaviors and some really interesting facts.

 

          The Spiny Dogfish has lots of special physical features.  It s grayish in color with white spots .  It is 2 ½ - 3 feet long. It has a long pointed snout with a wide mouth.  It has large eye and no anal fin and with a short spine at the front of each dorsal fin that are poisonous.  The Spiny Dogfish shark has many rows of teeth that rotate for use.

 

          The Spiny Dogfish shark has different behaviors.  The Spiny Dogfish shark is a very social shark.  It travels in groups of up to one hundred sharks.  The Spiny Dogfish is the most common shark in the ocean.  The Spiny Dogfish shark is viviparous .  It has pups 2-11 each litter.  The Spiny Dogfish shark is not dangerous to humans.  The Spiny Dogfish life span is 25 to 100 years

 

          As you can see, the Spiny Dogfish shark is truly an incredible shark.  From its physical features to its diet and habitat  there is a lot to read and now about the Spiny Dogfish.  My conclusion is the Spiny Dogfish was the coolest shark in the world.
